The QS Engineer is responsible for quantity take-off, measurement, cost estimation, payment certification, and commercial documentation for construction projects.
The role requires accuracy, drawing interpretation capability, and strong commercial awareness Functional Responsibilities Quantity Take-Off & Measurement
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ documents.
• Measure executed works for interim payment applications, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial reporting.
• Maintain organized measurement records and ensure quantities are traceable and auditable. Tendering, Estimation & Contract Support
• Support tender preparation, cost estimation, pricing inputs, and commercial comparisons.
• Review technical and commercial documents to identify measurement gaps, scope risks, and pricing assumptions.
• Support contract administration through BOQ analysis, variation measurement, and billing documentation. Billing & Payment Certification
• Prepare and review payment certification documents and support billing procedures.
• Coordinate with site, planning, cost control, and finance teams to validate progress quantities and payment status.
• Assist in evaluating variation orders and claims from a quantity and measurement perspective. Quality: Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities. Business Process Improvements: Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible. Compliance: Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions. Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services. Qualification Bachelor in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering Experience 4 to 6 Years 2 to 5 Years Skills Cost Estimating Construction Engineering Procurement Reporting
