About the Role
HOWCO OILFIELD SERVICES is looking for a Production Engineer to program components, interpret engineering drawings, and oversee CNC machining operations. The role requires 6+ years of experience, including 4 years in CNC programming, and leadership in a machine shop environment.

Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications
- Program component machining requirements from customer engineering drawings
- Plan Departmental workload in line with production schedules
- Participate in production progress meetings and provide feedback on departmental daily production status
- Inspect manufactured products and complete all relevant process verification documentation
- Monitor & advise personnel on correct use of tooling & equipment
- Operate machine tools to produce components in accordance with engineering specifications
- Participate in problem resolution activities to achieve process & efficiency improvements
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years overall experience as team leader preferably in machine shop
- 4 years experience in CNC programming in manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of relevant programming language and machine tool capability
- Knowledge of first and third angle projection and drawing interpretation to ISO/BS 308
- Hands on operating experience of CNC machines would be beneficial
- Knowledge of HSE Procedures, 5S or Six Sigma is an advantage

- Participate in production progress meetings and provide feedback on departmental daily production status.
- Inspect manufactured products and complete all relevant process verification documentation.
- Monitor & advise personnel on correct use of tooling & equipment.
- Operate machine tools to produce components in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Participate in problem resolution activities to achieve process & efficiency improvements.
- Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained in accordance with Company requirements.
Competencies
- Awareness of Howco HSE Policy, Conscious on related Policies.
- Working Knowledge of relevant programming language and machine tool capability including tool feeds & speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times.
- Knowledge of first and third angle projection. Drawing interpretation to ISO / BS 308 requirements, including geometric tolerances.
- Knowledge of modern inspection & validation equipment.
- Capability in applied mathematics and geometry.
- Organisational skills.
- People management skills.

- Zero safety, environmental or quality incidents.
- Department output maintained to scheduled requirements.
- Produce components to meet production target times identified on route cards.
- Integrity of validation data recorded in line with Quality system requirements.

Job Requirements
