ENGINEER- LOAD RESEARCH & DATA ANALYTICS - ASSOC - STAFF

Ability to research and analyze information related to electric utility system principles and practices, operations, and applicable rules and regulations.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage analytical analysis on emerging technologies and innovations such as distributed energy resources, demand response, electrification of transportation, and energy storage .

Perform studies related to system–wide loss analyses for input into demand and energy allocation studies Develop and test computer models.

Evaluate, recommend and implement new methods of forecasting and software improvements.

Assist in the evaluation and implementation of innovative and new forecasting methods.

Serve as technical lead, as well as coordinate and schedule work with the technicians in the installation and maintenance of metering equipment.

Compile, develop, analyze and maintain database of historical and forecasted load.

Conduct data analyses supporting derivation of load and coincidence factors and calculating demand components.

Initiate and perform the preparation of short, intermediate and long-term forecasts of emerging technologies and innovations such as distributed energy resources, demand response, electrification of transportation, and energy storage .

Assist in the preparation of responses to requests for information (RFI’s) and schedules during regulatory proceedings and assist in the review and audit of section analyses and infrequently prepare written testimony for regulatory proceedings.

Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
