Engineer-In-Training (EIT)

• Model and forecast Eavor-Loop performance using Eavor’s in-house tools and commercial engineering software to predict heat production, fluid flow, pressures and temperatures from early project development through operations
• Work with Geoscience, Drilling and Surface Engineering to design and optimize Eavor-Loops , integrating subsurface conditions, well configuration, and heat extraction requirements to improve system performance
• Support operating projects and develop new engineering solutions by comparing actual performance against forecasts, updating models, troubleshooting issues, identifying optimization opportunities, and creating new methods and tools.

• Design the surface facilities that convert geothermal energy into useful heat and electricity , working with Subsurface Engineering, Drilling, Geoscience and other project teams to develop safe, efficient, and integrated systems.
• Use engineering calculations and process simulation to turn concepts into practical facility designs , determining the equipment, piping, utilities, and control systems required and supporting project scoping, cost development, and design coordination.
• Support and improve operating geothermal facilities by analyzing plant performance, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, identifying optimization opportunities, and helping implement new technologies and design improvements.

Who you are:

• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) in good standing with APEGA is an asset.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
• Experience writing VBA, Python, R, or MATLAB code; Spotfire, PowerBI, and Visio experience is also an asset.
• , with the ability to reason from engineering first principles, think creatively, and develop solutions to novel or unfamiliar engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication abilities (written, presentation, and interpersonal).
• Passion for renewable energy and a desire for continuous learning.
• Ability to travel to the EU and Asian countries (e.g. Japan, Singapore, etc.) is preferred.
