Role Overview
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s engineering team to develop scientific instruments and laboratory equipment.
The role supports new product development, sustaining engineering, and lifecycle management for laboratory equipment in Hyderabad.
The position is a key individual contributor role owning mechanical subsystems and supporting product performance, reliability, and cost objectives.
Mechanical Design and Development
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, including mechanisms, enclosures, and structural elements.
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to sheet metal, plastic-part, and electromechanical design.
- Own subsystems or modules through CAD modeling, detailing, documentation, tolerance analysis, material selection, and design optimization.
- Manage PLM documentation and ECO/ECR change processes.
