Role Overview

The Junior Project Engineer - Electrical supports the Project/Delivery team with site coordination of electrical vendor activities, inspections, testing, commissioning, and client interfaces.

The role develops practical knowledge of electrical equipment and systems, including packages associated with major rotating equipment and other critical facilities.

The position reports to the Project/Delivery Manager.

Work Location

  • The role is based at the project site and involves hands-on site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate electrical vendor and OEM representative visits, mobilization, site access, permits, work areas, and facilities.
  • Arrange client inspections, witness activities, testing, and technical coordination meetings with electrical representatives.
  • Support vendor representatives during inspections, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and other site activities.
  • Follow up on technical queries, inspection findings, punch-list items, and outstanding actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, HSE, planning, procurement, and other disciplines.
  • Monitor equipment and system readiness for planned vendor activities and inspections.
  • Maintain schedules and trackers for vendor visits, inspections, testing activities, and outstanding actions.
  • Participate in site walkdowns and support identification and closure of electrical-related issues.
  • Maintain records of inspections, vendor reports, action lists, and technical correspondence.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Project/Delivery Manager.
  • Identify and promptly escalate potential schedule constraints or technical issues.
  • Ensure vendor activities comply with project specifications, approved procedures, quality requirements, and HSE standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably within EPC, oil and gas, or industrial projects.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, equipment, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Site experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to OEM or vendor coordination is advantageous.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
