Engineer II Process

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 3 – 7 years of experience working as a Process Engineer within the Energy & Chemical Industries
• Experience in performing hydraulic analysis, heat and material balance calculations and relief system analysis
• Experience in sizing and rating pumps, vessels and exchangers
• Experience in PFD and P&ID development
• Experience in developing instrument lists and line lists
• Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written)

• Attention to Detail
• Judgment and Decision Making
• Experience with Process Engineering Computer Software
• Strong desire to learn
• Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and coordinate a variety of tasks, with ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.

• Experience as a Process Engineer in the refining, gas processing, chemical plant, food/beverage, corn wet milling, oilseed processing, decarbonization and/or energy transition industries. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. WORK ENVIRONMENT Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the expected salary range for this Illinois position, Process Engineer is between $84,500 and $119,025 , annually.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

This position Process Engineer II is eligible for participation in Zachry’s Total Employee Rewards Program, which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and other ancillary benefits.
