Engineer II, Hardware

The Hardware (HW) Engineer designs, develops, documents, and tests electronic hardware for Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)/ Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems.

Designs and tests analog and digital circuitry used in precision metrology, and interfaces with Radio Frequency (RF) communications & embedded computer devices.

Circuit design involves power supplies, serial communication protocols, signal conditioning, RF circuits, transceivers, power management, low power, sensor technologies, small signal, transient protection, mains connections, and microcontroller interfaces.

Responsible for R&D hardware within completes solutions as part of a cross-functional team working with Firmware, Mechanical, and Manufacturing.

Collaborate with team members and other R&D teams in design, development, and validation of complete Smart Grid solutions.
