Role overview
Support project delivery as part of a hydrology and stormwater team under the supervision of an Associate or Principal Engineer.
Contribute to hydrology projects and project packages for work in the Middle East or UK as project requirements dictate.
Responsibilities
- Support hydrological and hydraulic modelling using tools including InfoWorks ICM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SewerGEMS, QGIS, Flowmaster, and culvert design software.
- Prepare and review stormwater management reports for accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Work with CAD, roads, landscape, geotechnical, environmental, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate stormwater drawings with CAD teams and ensure alignment with modelling outputs.
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and project planning sessions.
- Submit weekly timesheets, follow health and safety policies, support sustainability, and identify service improvements.
Mandatory skills
- Strong understanding of stormwater systems, hydrological processes, and drainage design.
- Familiarity with local and international stormwater design standards.
- Awareness of GCC standards and manuals.
- Computer literacy with modelling software experience or equivalent Excel spreadsheet calculations.
- Good English communication skills.
