Role Overview
The Engineer will support testing, evaluation, certification, and technical consultancy work for wind-energy projects.
The role includes client communication, project coordination, technical analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement.
General Responsibilities
- Determine project scope, develop preliminary investigation plans, and define project specifications from client input and available data.
- Coordinate project administration, communicate with clients, and address technical concerns and issues.
- Serve as Project Handler of record and may act as Reviewer of record when assigned.
- Communicate project status and results through client contact and reports.
- Prepare Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.
- Resolve engineering issues associated with Variation Notices and assist in developing UL requirements.
- Coordinate or perform File Reviews when directed.
- Projects may include travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests.
Wind Energy Technical Work
- Evaluate wind-turbine load assumptions according to international standards including IEC 61400-1 and IECRE.
- Perform aero-elastic calculations, structural-dynamics analysis, vibration analysis, and dynamic-controls work.
