Role and Impact
Build and refine Xero's newly launched US payroll beta product on a modern technical stack with minimal legacy debt.
Take end-to-end ownership of product features and make code design choices across the development lifecycle.
Improve technical standards, developer efficiency, and system reliability through engineering delivery and on-call participation.
Current Team Focus
- Iterate on the US payroll beta using live user feedback to refine architecture and user experience.
- Develop with TypeScript, React, C#, Postgres, and Temporal for workflow orchestration.
- Integrate artificial intelligence tools into daily development workflows.
- Expand automated delivery pipelines, resilient design patterns, and high-performing APIs for scale.
Work Arrangement
- The role supports US West Coast time-zone alignment with teams in Australia and New Zealand.
