Engineer / Architect – Interior Design Finishes

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop finish specifications for materials, colors, textures, and installation methods.
• Create technical drawings and documentation using CAD and design software.
• Research materials and recommend finishes based on project requirements, durability, and aesthetic goals.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers during project execution.
• Manage finish schedules, material samples, specifications, and approvals.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews of installed finishes.
• Ensure finishes comply with Saudi Arabian building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and communicate finish options, timelines, and updates to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of professional experience in interior design finishes, architectural documentation, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD and design software for technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of interior finish materials and experience writing material specifications and finish schedules.
• Understanding of building codes and construction standards relevant to interior finishes.
• Strong organization, project coordination, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and quality-assurance abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with BIM software.
• Experience with 3D visualization and rendering tools.
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly finish materials.
• Vendor and supplier management experience.

Workplace

• The stated work location model is on-site.
• The role includes conducting site inspections, and newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
