Own delivery outcomes for the products built and serve as a trusted technical partner to business stakeholders.
Solution Delivery
- Scope and ship AI and automation products with business stakeholders.
- Own discovery, requirements, build, deployment, adoption, and iteration.
- Build agentic workflows, LLM-powered analytics, document intelligence pipelines, and human-in-the-loop copilots.
- Automate high-volume processes from intake and data capture through approvals, exceptions, and downstream systems.
- Prototype in days, harden in weeks, and operate solutions at firm scale.
- Partner with users in their environment to deliver solutions they will use.
Engineering Craft and Reusability
- Write production-quality code and apply code review, testing, deployment hygiene, monitoring, and incremental hardening.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, and the surrounding DevOps stack effectively.
- Build reusable components, evaluation harnesses, prompt and agent patterns, and deployment templates.
- Partner with infrastructure, data, and security teams to meet observability, control, and audit standards.
- Stay current on AI tools, models, and techniques and bring promising options to the team.
In-Office Requirement
- The role requires working in the office four days per week.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A concentration in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, data science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Professional Experience
- Five or more years of overall relevant hands-on engineering experience is required.
- Two or more years building and shipping production AI applications to real users is required.
- Fluency with AI coding agents, developer tools, version control, CI/CD, testing, containerization, and cloud deployment.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data at scale, document intelligence, OCR, LLM-based extraction, and workflow automation.
- Strong coding fundamentals in Python and TypeScript or Java, with comfort across Spark transforms and React front ends.
- Experience working directly with business users in regulated, high-stakes environments. Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
Benefits and Compensation
- The stated base salary range for the Washington, DC role is $160,000 to $180,000.
- The role may include benefits and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive program.
