Become an Engineer 1, Energy Efficiency at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll support SCE’s portfolio of Energy Efficiency (EE) programs. These programs have multi-million-dollar budgets and incentivize to adopt energy efficient measures (e.g., heat pumps) or behaviors to deliver energy savings. Within these programs, a set of EE projects, known as Deemed projects, require the creation of the measure package that optimizes the installation process and sets the energy savings, which is then used to calculate savings in all future projects involving that measure. You will play a critical role as key support for senior engineers, completing key tasks such as revising measure packages based on feedback, operationalizing requirements, and providing oversight over data and installation procedures. You will have accountability and ownership over discretely defined deliverables and need strong cross-functional collaboration skills, proficient technical capabilities in workpaper writing, and a desire to learn business sense to operationalize requirements.
Incident Management Team Expected Participation : Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
