A minimum of three (3) years inspection experience in a turbine engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment.
Thorough knowledge of one or more of the product lines listed below, including, but not limited to disassembly, inspection and assembly techniques, including industry standard processes and practices.
Interprets customer provided Airworthiness Directive related data disseminated from various regulatory agencies worldwide.
Maintains engine record requirements as required by the FARs and all other applicable regulatory agencies.
Evaluates proper documentation of engine records for the purpose of purchase or sale and advises of their accuracy.
Verifies proper documentation received with engines inducted into the Repair Station.
Verifies and informs Production personnel of the required Airworthiness Directives to be accomplished in compliance at the engine Shop Visit.
Reviews documentation of Life Limited Parts for tractability and accuracy.
Reviews and audits completed shop visit documents for work accomplished and prepares required forms and applicable documentation and reports for customers and internal recordkeeping.
Organizes engine release documentation for engines maintained by the Repair Station prior to shipping to the customer.
Maintains the Pem-Air engine record files archive by gathering, organizing, and scanning documents generated during each shop visit.
Thoroughly familiar with commercial aircraft engine anatomy and terminology.
Familiar with and ability to effectively interpret and adhere to all United States federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements, including FAA, DOT, as well as other CAA / NAA regulatory authorities such as EASA and UK-CAA Part 145.
Ability to research, understand, and interpret various regulatory agency Airworthiness Directives requirements.
Must be thoroughly familiar with Life Limited Parts back-to-birth tracing as per industry norms.
Ability to research and interpret engine manufacturer and related articles’ Service Bulletins.

High School graduate or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
A FAA Mechanics Certificate with an Airframe and Powerplant rating is preferred.
Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the job like sitting and standing for extensive periods and must be able to safely lift a maximum of fifty pounds.
Must be able to utilize and wear various Personal Protective Equipment, including eye protection, and be medically approved to utilize applicable respirator protection as needed.
Occasionally exposed to and must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, and other varying elements. Must be able and willing to work varied and extended hours, if required.
Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Repair Station duties.
Must comply with the Repair Stations’ alcohol and drug free policy.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat computer applications.
Must have extensive detailed knowledge of, and the ability to navigate, research, utilize, and apply various types of technical data, including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals and regulatory agency data (e.g. Airworthiness Directives).
Must be coachable and able to listen, learn and follow instructions.
