Job Summary

Manage staff dormitory operations and ensure the dormitory is safe, clean, and compliant with employee accommodation policies.

Report to the Director of Human Resources.

Employee Housing Operations

  • Assign rooms based on dormitory enrollment requests and complete staff check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Issue and collect linen and keys during staff accommodation changes.
  • Inspect public areas and staff rooms daily and schedule regular cleanliness inspections.
  • Coordinate pest control and checks of fire equipment and room electrical facilities.
  • Implement dormitory rules, regulations, and visitor policies.
  • Maintain key copies, rooming lists, and records of maintenance requests and staff needs.
  • Prepare dormitory staff duty rosters and submit them for approval.
  • Maintain knowledge of dormitory contract terms and follow up on deviations.
  • Coordinate linen changes and support linen purchasing and replacement planning.
  • Maintain dormitory supplies and inventory, including furnishings, linens, electrical utensils, chemicals, and garbage bags.

Human Resources Activities

  • Solicit employee feedback through an open-door policy.
  • Escalate employee satisfaction concerns to department management and Human Resources.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide information and updates to supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, executives, and peers through telephone, written communication, email, or in person.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to select solutions and solve problems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of dormitory contract terms, rules, regulations, and visitor policies.
  • Ability to maintain accurate accommodation, inventory, maintenance, and check-in/check-out records.
  • Ability to coordinate contractors and follow up on pest control, fire equipment, and electrical facility checks.
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and select solutions to resolve problems.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly to supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, and HR stakeholders.
