About the Role
QatarEnergy LNG is recruiting an Emerson DCS Control Engineer for a recruitment campaign in India. The role involves supporting expansion project control and safety systems, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance of offshore control systems.

Responsibilities
- Support Expansion Project Control & Safety Systems activities including pre commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start up tasks
- Conduct Integrated Control Systems (ICS) & Process Safety Systems (PSS) Triconex support to sustain efficient, effective and safe operation at offshore facilities
- Participate in pre commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start up of new equipment and facilities
- Provide support to all new projects, including reviews HAZOP, HAZID and Risk Screening
- Maintain offshore control systems and safety system at optimum performance through periodic system monitoring and analysis
- Provide support to Offshore Instrument team in maintaining Offshore Control Systems to minimize downtime
- Develop, implement and document modifications to Control Systems and Control schemes through approved company policies and procedures
- Develop improvements in Plant Information systems through enhanced reports and monitor alarm management system daily
- Maintain proper backups of all system software and control software as per backup policy
- Support, upgrade and maintain 'Hot spares' to test and prove hardware modules and software schemes
- Assist with commissioning of control systems prior to plant start up and record all software and control scheme changes
- Provide facility for technical training and coaching of technicians and Qatari National Developees in the offline 'Hot Spares' system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Engineering in the area of specialization
- 4 years direct maintenance and system monitoring experience of control and safety systems within the oil and gas industry
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Computer literate and knowledgeable of relevant software tools and specifications
- Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to all levels
- Good adaptability to multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs

Job Purpose

Key Job Accountabilities I
- Participates in pre commissioning, commissioning, preservation and start up of new equipment and facilities.
- Provide support to all new projects, as directed by his line supervisor including reviews HAZOP, HAZID and Risk Screening in alignment with technical support abilities.
- Maintain the offshore control systems and safety system at optimum performance through periodic system monitoring and analysis to ensure the reliability of the equipment.
- Provide support to Offshore Instrument team in maintaining Offshore Control Systems to minimize downtime and corrects any problems identified within the Control Systems through on line or shutdown maintenance.
- Develop, implement and document modifications to Control Systems and Control schemes through approved company policies and procedures.
Key Job Accountabilities II

- Maintain proper backups of all system software and control software as per the company’s backup policy requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Engineering in the area of specialization.
