Stafmed is recruiting a Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician for a full-time position with a leading hospital in the UAE.
About the Role
The role requires an accomplished Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician with extensive experience managing acute, urgent, and life-threatening medical and surgical presentations.
The physician will join a fast-paced emergency department focused on safe, efficient, evidence-based, and patient-centred emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, resuscitate, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Manage acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical presentations.
- Lead initial stabilisation and management of critically ill and injured patients.
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of practice and expertise.
- Make decisions on admission, discharge, escalation, and specialist referral.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary and specialty teams.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervise junior doctors and emergency department staff.
- Participate in emergency response, resuscitation, and major incident management.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety, and quality standards.
