Position #: 001342 Union: HSAS Facility: Kerrobert & District Health Centre City/Town: Kerrobert Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Casual FTE: 0 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education

• Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute

• Valid Class 4 driver's license

• Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care
• knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice
• Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.
• Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis
• Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
