Role Overview
Full-time, mid-level Embedded Systems Engineer and Firmware Engineer role.
The role designs, develops, tests, and optimizes firmware for electronic and connected products.
The position covers embedded software, microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, debugging, and system-level development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop firmware, drivers, software components, real-time applications, and communication interfaces.
- Integrate firmware with processors, sensors, actuators, displays, and other electronic components.
- Debug and optimize firmware for performance, memory, power consumption, reliability, boot time, and resource use.
- Perform unit, integration, system, automated, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Support prototypes, engineering validation, product qualification, production testing, releases, and deployments.
- Maintain code and technical documentation while collaborating with hardware, software, QA, manufacturing, and product teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer, or related engineering or computer science field.
- Experience in embedded systems, firmware development, embedded software, or hardware-software integration.
- Strong C or C++ programming skills with knowledge of microcontrollers, processors, memory, interrupts, timers, and peripherals.
- Experience with development tools, communication protocols, RTOS concepts, embedded architecture, debugging, Git, and testing.
- Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, technical specifications, and hardware documentation.
- Embedded Linux, bootloaders, device drivers, wireless technologies, functional safety, cybersecurity, or embedded standards experience is advantageous.
