REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development and building production-grade drivers.
- Expert-level proficiency in C++ and Python for high-performance systems, and you know your way around Linux systems.
- Experience with high-precision time synchronization (understanding of ptp/ntp protocols) for multi-sensor data capture.
- Strong understanding of how different sensors work e.g. RGB cameras, LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, IMU etc. and how to integrate them together
- Experience in building custom PCBs
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in Canada and be willing to relocate to Toronto for an in-office role. At this time, we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship.
NICE TO HAVE:
Strong understanding of communication protocols, such as HTTP and TCP, and hardware level buses like I2C, SPI, CAN, or MIPI.
Strong understanding of video encoding and decoding standards (e.g., H.264, H.265, AV1).
Experience with Hardware-in-loop / Processor-in-loop testing methodologies,
Familiarity with computer vision fundamentals (camera calibration, object detection, motion capture)
