Role Overview
Northrop Grumman is recruiting Embedded Software Engineers at Level 3 or Level 4 for its Chandler, Arizona team.
The role develops systems for advanced missile defense spacecraft and interceptors.
Workplace and Clearance
- The position is 100% on-site in Chandler, Arizona.
- An active U.S. Government Secret clearance is required at application, current and within scope.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Develop object-oriented software in C and C++ in a Linux environment.
- Develop, debug, and test embedded real-time software.
- Work with VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or an equivalent RTOS.
- Apply the full software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot problems and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Develop systems for missile defense spacecraft and interceptors.
Level 3 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience, master's degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
- An additional 4 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
