Role Overview
Northrop Grumman is hiring Embedded Software Engineers for Level 3 or Level 4 positions supporting advanced missile defense spacecraft and interceptors.
The roles involve solving complex embedded software problems and developing technologies that support national security.
The position is 100% on-site in Chandler, Arizona, with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software in C or C++ within Linux and real-time operating system environments.
- Debug and test embedded real-time software across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop systems for missile defense spacecraft and interceptors using current and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with teammates, explore creative ideas, and support deployment of national security technologies.
- Apply problem-solving, troubleshooting, innovation, agility, and communication skills to complex engineering work.
Basic Qualifications
- Level 3 requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, a master's degree and 3 years, a PhD and 1 year, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Level 4 requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, a master's degree and 6 years, a PhD and 4 years, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
