Embedded Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop connectivity across Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and BLE, with secure device messaging and time synchronization.
• Build secure provisioning, hardware-backed device identity, signed firmware updates, OTA deployment, and rollback support.
• Integrate devices with cloud IoT platforms and backend services while improving telemetry, health monitoring, and observability.
• Support field debugging, safety and EMC validation, certification artefacts, manufacturing, and production validation.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, power electronics, mechanical, and software teams on technical designs and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years building connected embedded products or strong relevant industry or project experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, RTOS environments, Python, networking fundamentals, and secure device communications.
• Familiarity with firmware updates, bootloaders, embedded CI/CD, and practical debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across hardware and software boundaries.
• Bonus experience includes low-power wireless, cloud IoT, secure hardware, EMC/RF testing, relevant standards, or energy deployments.
