As a Software Engineer Intern at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting-edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms.

You will be helping us solve the world’s most difficult challenges by supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense.

As a Software Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications

-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities

-Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.

-Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

-Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

• Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related software discipline
• Demonstrated software development experience in C++
• Ability to obtain DoD Clearance
• Must be US Citizen

• Experience working Operating systems / familiarity with OS concepts. This may include: Linux, Windows, Unix, VxWorks, Operating Systems Coursework, etc.
• Hardware experience (Arduino, STMxx, Xilinx, any FPGA Programmable Software.
• Strong understanding of C++ Object Oriented design and inheritance concepts.
• Understanding of basic multi-threading concepts.
• Working with large code base.
• DevSecOps tool chain experience (this may include Git, GitHub, BitBucket).
• Software configuration management.
• Full software life-cycle development.
• Software integration and debugging techniques.
• Demonstrated software development experience in C / Python.
• Familiarity with Agile practices.
• Prior embedded internships is a bonus, but not required.

Full-Time Salary Range: $24.37 - $28.15
