Role Overview
QOSMIC is hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop firmware and control code for optical communication systems.
The engineer will own firmware from architecture through hardware bring-up and field debugging while working with the electronics team.
Employment and Timing
- The role is full time and requires a minimum of 2–3+ years of work experience.
- The stated joining date is October 2026.
Compensation
- Compensation is INR 25–30 lakh CTC, including ESOPs.
Responsibilities
- Design real-time embedded firmware in C and C++ for precision control loops, sensor acquisition, and actuation.
- Develop and tune closed-loop control algorithms, including PID, state-space, observer-based, and disturbance-rejection methods.
- Build communication stacks for SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS-422/485, and industrial fieldbus interfaces.
- Develop bare-metal, RTOS-based, and embedded Linux architectures with deterministic timing, interrupt design, DMA, and resource budgeting.
- Implement bootloaders, fail-safe firmware updates, fault detection, watchdogs, and safety interlocks.
