Embedded Artificial Intelligence Architect

Requirements

• Degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Embedded ML deployment or prototyping experience on targets such as Raspberry Pi 5 or FPGA-class devices.
• Strong Python skills with TensorFlow for embedded deployment and/or PyTorch experience.
• Ability to write production-quality C/C++ code.
• Version control and collaborative development experience, such as Git.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and/or French.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Disciplined, resourceful, and committed to high-quality engineering outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• A PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is preferred.
• Networking protocols, satellite communication standards, CUDA, RF systems, signal processing, Jira, Confluence, embedded Linux, and disciplined software development experience are preferred.
• French fluency is preferred.

Work Location

• The role is based at MDA Space's Montreal office.
