Role Description
The ELV Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role covers installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination for Extra Low Voltage systems.
Systems include CCTV, access control, structured cabling, intercom, public address, and related building management components.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and schematics, pull and terminate cables, mount and configure devices, and assist with system integration.
- Perform fault finding, routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and documentation of work performed.
- Ensure installations comply with safety regulations, project specifications, and local codes.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, other trades, vendors, engineers, and senior technicians during project execution.
Qualifications
- Relevant diploma in electrical, electronics, or IT is mandatory.
- Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems and their installation, testing, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, project specifications, and method statements.
- Hands-on capability with cable routing, termination, panel mounting, device configuration, and basic network setup.
- Competence in troubleshooting and maintenance of ELV and related low-voltage systems.
- Understanding of electrical and safety standards, local codes, and safe site working practices.
- Effective communication, teamwork, independent working, task management, and adaptability are required.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- A UAE Driving Licence is an advantage.
