The Role
- Universal American School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Elementary SENCO to join our team of passionate educators in August 2026.
- We seek an exceptional practitioner who is passionate about inclusion, values collaboration, and is eager to play a key role in shaping exceptional learning experiences and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will have
- A bachelor’s degree plus a certified teaching qualification such as B.Ed/M.Ed PGCE/PGDE or equivalent
- A qualification in inclusive education
- At least 5 years of teaching experience
- A passion for consistently delivering outstanding lessons to their students
- The ability to share outstanding practice with colleagues
- The ability to work well in a team and with other colleagues
- The desire to develop and grow professionally
- A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
- Experience of teaching in a diverse, international school environment (desirable although not essential)
- The desire to work within a team of highly supportive and creative colleagues
