POSITION OVERVIEW

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a school nutrition or commercial food service setting — preferred, not required
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Positive, team-oriented attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with USDA and Iowa school nutrition guidelines
• Assist with daily kitchen setup, food preparation, and serving
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and serving areas
• Follow all food safety and handling protocols
• Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and storage as needed
• Work collaboratively with the nutrition director and kitchen staff
• Other duties as assigned by the nutrition director or building administration
