Elementary Classroom Teacher (K-3)

Required to complete a criminal history background check to prove that the individual has not been convicted of a crime or a disorderly person's offense in accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:6-7.1.

Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.2.

Pass the state required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.3.

Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the School Director, Curriculum Supervisor, Project Coordinator, and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiating instruction based upon student learning styles.

Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.

Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.

Knowledge of Smartboard functions and tools.

Knowledge of effective classroom management plans and procedures.

Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.

Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.

Ability to organize and coordinate work.

Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.

Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

New Jersey State Certification, Elementary School Teacher Grades K-6 or Pre-K-3

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education.

Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Experience Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
