- Addison, TX
- Kalman & Company is seeking to hire an experienced Electronics Technician. This will be a full-time position with on-site support required in Addison, TX, and the Dallas Metro Area. The candidate will provide hands-on technical support for airborne sensor and data acquisition systems, including integration, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic instrumentation in a mission-critical operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, integration, calibration, and operational checkout of airborne sensor systems and associated electronic hardware
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic subsystems including power distribution, signal conditioning, data acquisition hardware, and communication interfaces
- Maintain and track sensor equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and maintenance logs in accordance with program documentation requirements.
- Support pre-mission and post-mission equipment inspections and readiness assessments
- Interface with scientists, engineers, and government personnel to coordinate sensor configuration and data collection operations
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance manuals, and technical documentation for electronic systems
- Conduct bench-level diagnostics using standard test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
- Support ground and airborne data acquisition and real-time data monitoring activities
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Associates degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent military technical training (e.g., MOS/AFSC in electronics, avionics, or communications)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems
