Role Overview
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair event equipment used for live events, concerts, and corporate productions.
Keep audio-visual systems, DJ gear, musical instruments, and stage lighting fixtures in safe, reliable operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical faults in AV systems, DJ controllers, media players, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and moving-head lighting fixtures.
- Perform basic repairs, tuning, and setups for guitars, bass guitars, drum kits, and electronic keyboards.
- Clean, service, and test equipment regularly to prevent failures during live events.
- Repair and solder XLR, DMX, SpeakON, and HDMI cables and inspect rigging hardware for safety compliance.
- Bench-test equipment returning from events, record damaged items, and track repair statuses in the inventory management system.
- Read schematics and use multimeters and oscilloscopes to replace faulty components, circuit boards, and connectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience repairing electronic equipment in live events, broadcast, or music retail.
- Advanced soldering skills for circuit boards, surface-mount components, and heavy-duty audio and lighting connectors.
- Deep familiarity with industry-standard brands including Pioneer DJ, Shure, Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Martin Lighting, Chauvet, and Fender.
