PURPOSE OF POSITION: Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.
Including the soldering of surface mount and through-hole electronic components and wires to printed circuit boards.
Work consists of routine tasks, processes or operations requiring selection of clearly prescribed policies and procedures.
Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.

Responsible for describing the quality policy and goals, your contribution to quality, and the effects of not observing requirements
Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies.
Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in printed circuit board, element assemblies and integrated circuits.
Preform soldering duties to IPC standards, both thru hole and surface mount.
Setup and operate wave solder machine.

Assemble per routing instructions.
Mount assembled subassemblies as required.
Connect or route component lead wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points.
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases.
Perform on line go, no-go inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet specifications and standards.
Perform computerized testing as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Language skills, mathematical skills and reasoning ability.
Soldering such as through hole and surface mount technology.
Ability to use small hand tools and run assembly machines, ie. wave solder machine, small drill presses, torque drivers, component bending and cutting machines.
May need basic brazing, soldering, and induction machine of assembly parts
May need basic welding.
May need general machining of basic parts (sanding, punch press)
Grip and grasp tools and parts for assembly; repetitive lifting of materials/parts weighing 5-10 lbs; form parts and perform fine manipulation; turning and twisting wrists and hands.
