Position Overview

Maintenance Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical room equipment, and other machines.
• Identify and operate equipment and building utility shut-offs.
• Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts.
• Perform basic maintenance across electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, electronic, carpentry, kitchen, vehicle, and building systems.

Repair and Safety Duties

• Perform painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and air conditioning filter replacement, and cleanup.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, guestroom items, and internet devices.
• Program televisions and complete housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform interior, exterior, landscaping, and sprinkler repairs.
• Follow safety and security policies, report hazards and incidents, complete training, and store flammable materials properly.

Service and Work Environment

• Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express appreciation.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, company assets, and positive working relationships.
• Move through stairs, service ramps, ladders, and work areas requiring bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• A driver's license is required.
