Electrician Apprentice

• Assists in diagnosing electrical problems, and performs supervised electrical installations, maintenance and repairs.

include repairing malfunctions and exposed wires, replacing wires and parts, restoring power to buildings, installing lights, switches, receptacles, and transformers; installs computer cabling and various circuits; maintains stadium lighting, and maintains ventilation systems.

• Conducts duties in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, standards and schedules.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls, seven days per week.
• Assists in obtaining quotes on supply purchases.
• Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports, including work orders, blueprints, specifications, accident reports, and warehouse requests.
• Operates and maintains a variety of equipment, such as a two-way radio, vehicle, air lift, sky hawk, ditch witch, back hoe, truck, auger, hydraulic bender, power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic tools.
• Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, District administrators and staff, students, and sales representatives.
• Complies with all federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, administrative rules, and directives.
• Provides assistance to other trades employees as required.
• Performs related duties as required.
