The Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in facility environments.
The role covers LV/MV systems, low-current systems, control panels, building automation, and electrical maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance on LV/MV, low-current, and control-panel systems.
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Inspect systems and perform preventive maintenance to identify potential issues.
- Diagnose and repair FACP, BMS, UPS, PAVA, motors, pumps, panels, breakers, and lighting equipment.
- Clean and service electrical components.
- Coordinate maintenance tasks and complete work orders on time.
- Document equipment status, work performed, and parts used.
- Diagnose issues under supervision, seek support, and escalate problems as appropriate.
- Respond to service requests and emergency callouts.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
- Follow electrical codes, safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior technicians when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or ITI/Diploma in Electrical is preferred.
- At least five years of electrician experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults and equipment failures.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical fitness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Valid electrician license or certification if required by local regulations.
Work environment
- Work may take place in residential, commercial, or industrial facility environments.
- The role may require working at heights and in confined spaces.
