As an Electrical Technician in our Estates team, you'll help ensure healthcare facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Your work will directly support the delivery of patient care by maintaining critical building services, systems and equipment to the highest standards. Through preventative maintenance, responsive repairs and technical expertise, you'll help deliver a positive impact on communities while supporting a service that people rely on. What you’ll do as an Electrical Technician Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a wide range of building services, plant and equipment. Install, commission and maintain machinery and systems in line with manufacturers’ instructions and statutory requirements. Diagnose faults, respond to breakdowns and take corrective action to minimise disruption to healthcare operations. Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and installation manuals to support maintenance activities. Support the delivery of compliance requirements through accurate record keeping and use of maintenance management systems. Contribute to a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and colleagues through high-quality maintenance services. Does this sound like you? You have completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical engineering or plumbing, or hold an equivalent qualification. You have experience maintaining building services, engineering systems or healthcare estates environments. You can confidently diagnose faults, analyse problems and implement effective solutions. You are comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications and manufacturers’ documentation. You are committed to continuous professional development and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards. You take pride in delivering high-quality work and contributing positively as part of a team.
