About the Role
Perform electrical installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for building facilities and low-voltage systems below 500V.
Work with electrical wiring networks, lighting systems, distribution panels, testing equipment, and electrical safety procedures in operations and maintenance environments.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low-voltage electrical wiring networks.
- Install, maintain, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical accessories.
- Identify electrical faults and complete corrective maintenance.
- Inspect wiring, connections, panels, and equipment for safe operational condition.
- Use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
- Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Report faults, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, and compliance with site procedures.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma, certificate, or recognized vocational qualification in electricity or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of low-voltage systems, wiring, lighting, and electrical accessories.
- Experience in building facilities, operations and maintenance, or facility management projects.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and identify electrical faults.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work under supervision.
- Willingness to complete a technical or electrical trade test.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a three-year technical diploma.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with a two-year technical certificate.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with a one-year apprenticeship certificate.
Work Environment
- The role operates in building facilities and operations and maintenance environments and requires compliance with site procedures.
