We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to specalize in Electrical Safety to join our Environment, Health and Safety Team.
The EHS Specialist – Electrical Safety supports NextStar Energy’s health and safety program with a primary focus on electrical safety. This position provides technical support to identify, assess, and control electrical hazards across manufacturing, maintenance, construction, and commissioning activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, combined with an understanding of workplace health and safety.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical resource for electrical safety.
Conduct electrical safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Support safe energization, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical work.
Support the Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs.
Identify shock, arc-flash, and hazardous energy risks and recommend appropriate controls.
Review electrical work practices, procedures, PPE requirements, and safe work methods.
