Electrical Quality Engineer

Requirements

• Education
• 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or
• university in Electrical Engineering, Electrical
• Engineering Technology, Quality Engineering, or a
• related technical discipline is required.
• 2. Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience
• in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics,
• manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related field.
• 3. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems,
• schematics, and root cause analysis
• methodologies.
• 4. Have or attain certification in IPC A610 and 62
• Experience/Knowledge (Required Experience / Knowledge Only) LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must possess the ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and ladder Logic PLC language, communicate professionally, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Must possess the ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Specific Job Skills (eg. computer skills, communication, motivation, organizational skills) Must have computer skills in Excel, Word and preferably experience with oracle and/or other data management systems. Must have experience with multiplex systems and troubleshooting electrical systems. Must have experience in root cause analysis, preventive and corrective action processes. Must have basic knowledge of: Ohms Law Series & Parallel Circuit fundamentals Recognizing generic industry schematic symbols Basic multimeter usage - checking voltage, resistance, continuity and amps Basic AC/DC knowledge (definition of each) Basic electrical components - switches, relays Types of electrical failure - shorts, opens, grounds
