Monitor equipment conditions, anticipating potential failures to ensure proactive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a valid trades qualification/diploma in a related field. 5-6 years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment (e.g., pulp and paper, power generation, mining). In-depth knowledge of high- and low-voltage electrical systems, industrial control systems, DCS, and PLC programming. Familiarity with steam turbine generators, power distribution networks, and protective relays. Knowledge of AutoCAD for designing electrical schematics and layout drawings. Experience with energy monitoring/reporting tools and power system analysis software such as SKM. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly. Solid project management and leadership skills, with experience in managing engineering projects and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with SAP or equivalent enterprise asset management systems for work orders and reporting. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while adhering to strict timelines.
