Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator

Under moderate supervision and direction, responsible for coordinating and providing high-quality cost estimates. Understands the technical parameters and specifications of electrical equipment & packages/instrumentation/control systems for developing the cost estimates. Understands the electrical & instrumentation material take offs/bill of quantities/sized electrical equipment list/single line diagrams. The individual may also be responsible for providing guidance to junior estimators on larger projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for personal safety as well as the safety of co-workers. Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

Coordinates information exchange among Estimating, Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain and Construction groups

Develops and provides high-quality cost estimates for material, labor and subcontract works to upper-level estimator/lead estimator in a timely manner.

Assists in the preparation of estimate execution plan, basis of estimate and management review package

Skillfully utilizes estimating methods and the expertise of other project professionals to establish total project estimates. Seasoned expertise is required to ensure that all pertinent information is updated in relation to the present scope of work. This position may require direct interface with the client. This position requires direct contact with all required functional areas

Establishes and maintains local estimating information such as escalation indices, rate of exchange variation, productivity, etc.
