Electrical Inspection Duties
- Inspect and monitor electrical installation works on site against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
- Review power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, cable containment, low-current systems, and equipment installations.
- Verify delivered materials against approved submittals and project specifications.
- Inspect work before, during, and after execution to confirm workmanship and quality.
- Review and witness inspection requests, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor contractor progress against the approved project schedule.
- Identify defective or non-compliant work, record observations, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Coordinate electrical work with civil, architectural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Maintain inspection, observation, testing, and outstanding-work records.
- Follow up snagging, de-snagging, and punch-list activities until completion.
- Ensure project HSE compliance and report unsafe site practices.
- Attend coordination meetings, assist senior engineering staff, review as-built information, and provide technical input on electrical works.
Requirements
- Experience inspecting electrical installation works at construction sites.
- Knowledge of approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable electrical standards.
- Experience reviewing inspection requests and witnessing testing and commissioning activities.
- Ability to monitor electrical quality, document non-compliance, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ability to support compliance with project HSE requirements and coordinate with other disciplines.
