Role Overview
Responsible for overseeing and managing electrical crews on construction job sites. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans, specifications, and local electrical codes. Acts as a liaison between field staff and project managers, coordinating daily activities and resolving issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervises work crews in the installation, repair, or maintenance of electrical systems, including installation of electrical wiring, conduits, transformers, lighting, switches, breakers, fuses, power lines, junction boxes, etc.
- Coordinates the work of other contractors on site who are not directly involved in the electrical work
- Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and layout
- Recommends changes to electrical designs to ensure that they meet local codes and standards
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates work activities with project managers and other trades
- Ensures work is performed according to safety standards, codes, and regulations
- Provides training and guidance to electricians and apprentices
