Electrical Engineering Project Manager

Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company. Negotiates critical and controversial issues with client Project Manager and officers of other organizations and companies. Individuals at this level demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing,and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities of outstanding novelty and/or experience. Receives general administrative direction. Is responsible for one or more Design Teams of such diversity and large scope that are of critical importance to overall company objectives. Supervises several individuals whose positions fall into Designers, Engineers Design Coordinator.

May have Project Leader and Design Coordinator project responsibilities.

Performs as a “Team Leader” as part of responsibilities.

Supervises and trains Engineering staff.

Consistently meets project budgets.

Assists in preparing proposals for assigned accounts.

Assists in maintenance, development and execution of company quality assurance program.

Organizes and monitors design team. Schedules work of staff.

Coordinates with client, City Building Department, utilities, and other professionals on Project Team.

Ability to develop and promote business relationships.

Establish and maintain excellent working relationship with assigned client accounts including all members of client’s team.

Thorough involvement with Professional Societies and constant exposure to potential clients, and establish relationships with new potential clients leading to new contracts.

Overall project responsibilities including coordination with in-house integrated design team and other consultants on the project team. Responsible for the organization and supervision of a Project Team in the setup, planning, engineering and design, production, processing, and construction support of assigned engineering projects. Strong management and communication skills are necessary.

Responsible for project budgets and orchestrating staff effort to meet budgets.
