Key skills for this role
The Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and validates embedded electronics hardware for aerospace, defense, and advanced autonomy applications. This role spans the full hardware development lifecycle — from requirements capture and schematic design through PCB layout, board bring-up, and fielded system support. You’ll work closely with software and systems engineers, contribute to technical documentation and reporting, and grow into broader program ownership over time. Reports to a Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager.
Design complex multilayer PCB assemblies for embedded systems used in aerospace, UAS, and defense applications
Develop schematics and manage PCB layout using KiCad, Altium, or similar EDA tools
Select and integrate sensors including IMUs, magnetometers, pressure sensors, GNSS receivers, and ADCs
Design power supply circuitry including switching regulators and LDOs
Implement and debug high-speed digital interfaces including USB, SPI, and CAN/CAN-FD
Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, and validation testing
