Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Electrical Engineer will design, review, and optimize electrical systems for MEP, HVAC, chiller, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and calculations, supporting power distribution and control system layouts, and coordinating with mechanical and civil teams.
The role involves participating in site surveys, supervising installation and commissioning activities, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during project execution and maintenance.
The Electrical Engineer will also support material selection, vendor evaluations, and documentation, while contributing to safety, quality, and cost-efficiency across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical understanding of electricity and core engineering principles applicable to MEP and industrial environments.
- DEWA APPROVED
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Power Systems, including load calculations, single-line diagrams, and system protection and coordination.
- Experience with Power Distribution systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, including LV and, preferably, MV distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Hands-on experience in site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems; experience in HVAC/MEP or chillers is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, local Dubai/UAE regulations).
- Proficiency in engineering and design tools (such as AutoCAD or similar CAD software; exposure to Revit or electrical design software is a plus).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to safety, quality, and reliability.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders on-site.
