Role Overview
An Electrical Engineer designs, tests, commissions, and maintains electrical systems and equipment while ensuring safety, reliability, and standards compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems, layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical calculations, load assessments, and equipment selection.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, and MEP teams.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and technical assessments.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and installation issues.
- Work with power distribution, lighting, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
- Review technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Monitor installation quality, progress, materials, and project schedules.
- Prepare technical reports, testing records, and commissioning documentation.
- Support maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering, construction, MEP, manufacturing, or facilities.
