Electrical Design & Product Engineer

As an Electrical Design & Product Engineer, you will:

• Support manufacturing‐focused electrical product engineering with emphasis on product transfers, new product introduction (NPI), and production readiness

• Create and update electrical schematics, wiring and harness designs, wire‐kit documentation, and manufacturing‐ready BOMs

• Drive electrical DfMA improvements, BOM commonization, and design simplification across product lines

• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve production issues and ensure smooth factory launches

• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and change records using electrical CAD and document‐control systems

• Improve reliability, consistency, and manufacturability of industrial electrical products and electromechanical assemblies

• Troubleshoot electrical build issues and support root‐cause analysis for wiring, harness, and component defects

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce variation, and streamline assembly

• Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners

• Contribute to projects that impact communities in Northfield, Owatonna, Dundas, Medford, Lakeville, Farmington, Waseca, and Lonsdale and the greater southern Twin Cities metro
